Dr Rahul T Sankar is a distinguished Medical Oncologist and Radiation Oncologist with over a decade of experience in cancer care. He is currently serving as a Consultant in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology at the American Oncology Institute. His academic journey spans eight years of rigorous training, having earned his MBBS and MD in Radiation Oncology from Government Medical College, Thrissur, followed by a DM in Medical Oncology from Madras Medical College.
Dr Rahul T Sankar has achieved remarkable academic milestones, securing the prestigious DrNB from the National Board of Examinations with a first rank and being honored with the President’s Gold Medal in Medical Oncology. Before joining AOI, he contributed significantly to medical education and clinical oncology as an Assistant Professor at Government Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, and later at Aster MIMS, Calicut.
His areas of expertise encompass immunotherapy, targeted therapy, chemotherapy, cancer diagnosis, and preventive oncology. With a commitment to providing evidence-based and patient-centric care, he focuses on integrating advanced treatment modalities to improve patient outcomes.
