Stages

  • Stage 1 : At stage I, the tumor spreads to the connective tissue layer of the ureter or renal pelvis.
  • Stage 2 : The tumor is limited to the ureteral or renal pelvis lining.
  • Stage 3 : The tumor from the connective tissue layer invades the muscle layer of the ureter or renal pelvis.
  • Stage 4 : Cancer spreads to nearby lymph nodes and organs or distant organs.
  • Stage 5 : The tumor may spread to the fat surrounding the ureter, renal pelvis, or kidney.
