Follow-up Care

Once the treatment for the fallopian tube is completed, the survivor is provided with a follow-up visit plan. It helps in the early detection of cancer recurrence and the management of treatment side effects. Further, the patient should also immediately consult the oncologists if they experience severe back or abdominal pain, mass or lump in the pelvic area, abnormal vaginal discharge, and any other symptoms that cause concern in the patients. The patients may expect a complete physical examination, pelvic examination, blood chemistry analysis, and imaging tests, such as ultrasound or MRI, during the follow-up visit.
