Follow-up Care

Follow-up care is essential in small intestine cancer survivors. In most cases, the patient needs to visit the hospital once a month for the initial few months. Later on, the time gap between the visits may be increased. It allows the cancer specialist to manage the treatment complications and determine the signs that indicate cancer recurrence. During a follow-up visit, the patient may undergo several tests, such as blood tests or imaging tests.
