Stages

  • Stage 1 : The tumor is ≤2 cm and is limited to the site of origin.
  • Stage 2 : This is the advanced stage, and the tumor spreads to the lymph nodes or/and distant organs.
  • Stage 3 : The tumor is greater than 4 cm or has spread to the epiglottis OR may have spread to one lymph node at the side, similar to the origin.
  • Stage 4 : The tumor is between 2 cm to 4 cm and does not spread out from the site of origin.
