She has completed her MBBS from Chalmeda Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, DNB (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), and MCh in Gynaecologic Oncology from the prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru. Dr Pragnia has also received international training and certification from the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) and specialized certification in cervical cancer staging using ultrasound (CITA, Rome).

Dr Pragnia specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, vulvar, and fallopian tube cancers. She is proficient in advanced laparoscopic and robotic oncologic surgeries, including radical hysterectomy, staging procedures, sentinel lymph node biopsy, conization, radical vulvectomy, inguinal lymph node dissections, and advanced procedures such as HIPEC and PIPAC. Her clinical expertise also includes the management of preinvasive lesions of the cervix and vagina.

A strong advocate of preventive oncology and oncofertility, she offers fertility-sparing and multidisciplinary treatment approaches for women with early-stage cancers, ensuring continuity of care from diagnosis through survivorship and motherhood.
