Dr Mrudula Tatakuri is one of the best Onco-Anesthetists in Andhra Pradesh. She is currently associated with American Oncology Institute, Vijayawada, Kanuru as a Consultant – Onco-Anesthesia. She is known for her expertise in delivering specialized anesthesia care for patients undergoing complex oncological surgeries. With an extensive background in Onco-Anesthesia, Dr Tatakuri plays a key role in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia management for patients across a range of cancer surgeries, from major thoracic, HIPEC and head & neck surgeries to pediatric oncology procedures.

Dr Tatakuri’s approach to anesthesia is deeply rooted in evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on optimizing patient outcomes. She is particularly adept at implementing Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols and other cutting-edge techniques designed to improve postoperative recovery and reduce the risk of complications. A committed academician and innovator, Dr Mrudula Tatakuri has actively contributed to international and national conferences through impactful research and presentations. Notably, she presented a poster at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Conference in Barcelona, Spain, which was subsequently published in the Annals of Oncology. Her interest in esophageal cancer anesthesia management led to a poster presentation at the International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE), with her work published in the Esophagus International Journal.

An innovator in the field, Dr Tatakuri developed a novel scoring system to predict mortality in patients undergoing HIPEC surgery, which she presented at the ESMO conference, gaining recognition for its clinical relevance and potential application in high-risk surgical settings.

Her academic excellence was further highlighted when she was awarded 1st Prize at the SOAPCCON conference held at TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, for presenting a rare oncology case and its perioperative management.
