Dr. Kranthi Kumar is a leading Radiation Oncologist based in Vijayawada, currently associated with the American Oncology Institute. He brings extensive experience in the management of cancer patients, with particular expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques.
He completed his MBBS from Rangaraya Medical College under Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and pursued his DNB in Radiation Oncology from Healthcare Global Enterprises (HCG), Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Dr. Kranthi is highly skilled in modern radiotherapy approaches, including 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, RapidArc, and respiratory gating techniques. He has significant expertise in stereotactic procedures such as SRS, SRT, and SBRT, as well as advanced brachytherapy, including MRI- and CT-guided, PET-CT, and PET-MRI–based planning. His clinical practice involves the use of cutting-edge technologies such as TrueBeam and CyberKnife systems.
He has vast experience in radiotherapy planning and evaluation across all cancer sites, including PET-CT and MRI-based planning for precision treatments. He is proficient in multiple treatment planning systems, including PLATO, Eclipse, Oncentra, MIMVista, Prowess, and Multiplan.
Dr. Kranthi is also experienced in both HDR and LDR brachytherapy for cancers such as cervix, endometrial, breast, head and neck, and soft tissue sarcomas. He has performed over 5,000 intracavitary radiation procedures and more than 200 interstitial radiation treatments. His expertise extends to chemotherapy for solid malignancies and comprehensive palliative care for cancer patients.
In addition to his clinical work, he has received international training in advanced radiation therapy techniques and has been a faculty speaker at various medical conferences and professional meetings.
