Dr Jagdishwar Goud Gajagowni is a globally acclaimed Surgical Oncologist and a pioneer of Robotic Cancer Surgery in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with over 25 years of rich experience in cancer surgery and advanced robotic procedures. He is currently serving as a Senior Consultant & National Director - Robotic Onco Surgery at American Oncology Institute, Hyderabad.

Having performed more than 5000 successful robotic surgeries, Dr Gajagowni is renowned for his precision and innovation and stands among India’s leading experts in robotic and minimally invasive surgical oncology, specializing in gastrointestinal, thoracic, gynecologic, urogenital, and head & neck cancers. A graduate of Osmania Medical College, he holds an MCh in Surgical Oncology from the prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, along with advanced training in Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery from leading global institutes in the USA, South Korea, and Israel.

Beyond his clinical excellence, Dr Gajagowni is a mentor and trainer who has guided top surgeons from institutions such as AIIMS, Tata Memorial, Adyar, and SGPGI in robotic oncology. He has previously led surgical oncology departments at Yashoda Hospitals, KIMS, and Apollo Cancer Institute, and currently spearheads the National Robotic Surgery Program at the American Oncology Institute.

Recognized for innovation and patient-centered care, he was honored by the Vattikuti Foundation in 2024 for achieving his 5000th robotic procedure.
