Follow-up Care

The survivor of eye cancer is provided a follow-up visit schedule plan at the time of discharge. Follow-up visits are important as they assist in detecting the recurrence of cancer at an early stage. In addition, the survivor is provided with medications to relieve the side effects of treatment. Survivors may expect ocular examination imaging tests, such as ultrasound, chest x-rays, MRI scans, and blood tests. Cancer treatment may result in cataracts or injury to the ocular muscles. Patients are advised to undergo surgery for these disorders.
