There is no method to prevent the occurrence of kidney cancer. However, some of the measures that may help in lowering the risk of kidney cancer include:
- Quitting smoking
- Maintaining a healthy weight
- Management of high blood pressure
- Avoiding exposure to toxic substances, such as trichloroethylene
