Hyderabad, 24th September 2022: American Oncology Institute (AOI) and Citizens Specialty Hospital Hyderabad has organized a mega free cancer screening and awareness camp at Trinity Girls Junior College, Karimnagar. In the cancer screening camp, almost 500+ students were screened and examined by surgical oncologists Dr Jagadishwar Goud and Dr Gangabhavani along with a team of gynaecologists.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri. Gangula Kamalakar Garu, Honourable Minister of BC Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs of Telangana, along with R V Karnan Garu, Collector & District Magistrate Karimnagar, Smt. Garima Agarwal Garu, I.A.S., Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Karimnagar and, Ch. Priyanka Karnan Garu, CEO, Zilla Praja Parishad, Karimnagar.
Speaking about the event, Shri. Gangula Kamalakar Garu, Honourable Minister of BC Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs of Telangana, “This is the largest turnout of women for the free cancer screening camp at Karimnagar. AOI offered free Ultrasound, Pap Smear tests and other lab tests only to patients showing symptoms and advised by the doctors.
